Established in 2007, Private Capital, LLC offers investment management and financial consulting services. The firm is duly registered as an Investment Advisor (IA) and provides both Wall Street expertise and personal attention to individuals and businesses in the state of Colorado.
Clay Anderson currently serves as the firm's Managing Director. Mr. Anderson has over eight years of financial management experience with three multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he served as the Senior Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) at Western Union (NYSE:WU), where he was responsible for business valuations and due diligence support for all corporate investment opportunities. Previously, he was the Lead Analyst within the Corporate Finance department at Qwest Communications (NYSE:Q), where he led various shareholder-value improvement projects, ranging from competitive financial analysis to the evaluation and applicability of Economic Value Added (EVA ™) metrics. Prior to Qwest, he served in a number of financial roles at Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A), most recently as the Controller of an $80 million product division. In addition to managing all financial aspects of the division, such as forecasting, reporting, and budgeting, Mr. Anderson also pioneered new financial measures to increase revenue and returns on invested capital (ROIC) while at Agilent.
Mr. Anderson holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He has also earned a B.S. (magna cum laude) with an emphasis in finance and an M.B.A., both from the University of Colorado. While at CU, Mr. Anderson spent two years as a research / teaching assistant in the finance department in the Graduate School of Business.
